About Monte Xanic
The Monte Xanic Vinícola, or winery, is one of the more prominent wineries in the Valle de Guadalupe wine region. It was founded in 1987 by five friends, all passionate about producing high-quality wine and reestablishing the standard for Mexican winemaking. Having been founded in the late 1980’s, this actually makes Monte Xanic one of the older wineries in the area. The winery produces about 50,000 cases per year, also making Monte Xanic one of the larger wine suppliers in Valley, as well. The production of Monte Xanic wine has come a long way, starting with a single Chenin Colombard to now producing 14 bottles a harvest. Not to mention the 250+ awards the winery has won since being founded 30 years ago.
If you’re planning a trip to the Valle de Guadalupe wine region, Monte Xanic should be at the top of your list of wineries to visit. The winery is open to the public to explore and enjoy, but if you are looking to taste or tour, be sure to reserve in advance. Monte Xanic does not accept walk-ins for these activities. They purposely limit the tours to 20-persons max to ensure a quality experience with more individual attention. As apart of the tasting, you’ll receive a Monte Xanic signature glass which you are able to take home as a souvenir. Monte Xanic not only offers a picturesque landscape but one of the best educational tours you will receive in Valle de Guadalupe. The price for the tour is absolutely worth it and the wines are some of the highest quality in the Valley.
